Nomad has a bit of an old school vibe, Bloc Haus is pretty modern, very aesthetic, and pretty big, plus great proximity for post climb beers at the breweries. My suggestion would be to buy your shoes at Climbing anchor Alexandria (dedicated climbing store) then walk 1km to 9 degrees Alexandria. The center also conducts climbing events and bouldering workshop from time to time. We attended on a Wednesday evening (7 of us) and it was packed, but we didn't have to wait long, if at all for a wall to be free.
